Glamis Castle

Work was carried out on the main tower roof at Glamis Castle between March and May 1996. The work consisted of the replacement of the existing bituminous finish and the introduction of a new bituminous felt roof finish with all ancillary detail work. The work also included replacing the edge finishings to the adjacent slated roofs, together with repairs to the traditional slate roofing on various roof slopes. Tay Roofing acted as Main COntractor for all trades on this project.

Swallow Hotel

Work commenced on the Swallow Hotel Seminar Room in March 1999 and continued to June 1999. The work entailed the formation of a new single storey seminar room extension to the Hotel complete with W.C. facilities and fire escapes. The new roof consists of Metal Decking and High Performance Felt for the complete area. Slating work to the ornamental turret was carried out wising Spanish Natural Slate.

Whitfield Library And Learning Centre

Whitfield Library and Learning Centre required a Roof Replacement which was carried out between February and April 1999. This involved the renewal of the flat and pitched roofs in traditional felt to flat areas and Single Ply roofing with standing seams to the pitched areas - while allowing for installation of mechanical ventilation, replacement of lighting and renewal of floor finishes and decoration to book area.

Cliffburn Sheltered Housing

A new Sheltered Housing development in Arbroath was built in February 1999, and Tay Roofing were responsible for the work o the roof. The roof construction was felt, counter and tiling battens to cover area of 1100 square metres and finished with grey interlocking concrete tiles.
